Yarmouth Bloaters

Speedway was first raced at Yarmouth Stadium since 1932. In 1948 the Yarmouth Bloaters were formed they joined division 3 of the National League. In 1949 they finished level on points with Hanley potters but lost out on the title on race points gained. In 1954 they lost their racing license after a row over season starting times. The track remained closed until 1957 the club held open meetings and local minor speedway leagues until 1960 when they joined the Provisional League. They lasted only the one year in the league before the club closed due to financial problems.
