In the National League saw 7 teams compete with Walthamstow relocated to Hackney and Birmingham and Plymouth no longer league members. Six of the seven teams were London based. The only non London team Belle Vue won the title and also added the the National Trophy and the ACU Cup.
In the Star Riders Championship Frank Charles won the title with a 15 point maximum. The London Riders championship was won by Tom Farndon. he sadly died on the 28th August two days after a track crash at New Cross stadium. A meeting the Tom Farndon Memorial was held in his honour on the 18 September. |
