1948 British Speedway Riders Championship
The eliminating rounds for the Speedway Riders Championship were run in three sections, namely the Qualifying Round, held on Third Division Tracks, the First round on Second Division Tracks, and the Championship Round on First Division Tracks The Championship Round was limited to twenty eight riders, twenty five of them being First Division riders, and three of them the riders scoring the highest aggregate of points in the First Round. Seven meetings were held in the Championship Round, one at each of the First Division Tracks, and each rider rode at four meetings
