Local junior who first appeared in Old Meadowbank second halves in 1964. Pressed into team service at Coventry and Exeter in 1965 when George Hunter failed to arrive. Made steady but unspectacular progress, riding 6 matches in 1967, and was loaned to Berwick in 1968-9 in BL Division two. In spite of reasonable success at that level he then retired to concentrate on his haulage business. |
