Ashfield Giants

Ashfield Giants raced for 5 years between 1949 and 1954. The teams most famous rider was Ken le breton who was known as the The White Ghost. The original team were the Newcastle Diamonds team that promoter Johnny Hoskins moved north.

The Giants were never very successful and co- promoters Johnny Hoskins and Norrie Isbister finally pulled the plug in 1954. The name Ashfield was revised for a season in the conference league in 2000

Ashfield's home track was at Saracen Park home to Ashfield Juniors football club and is now home to the Glasgow Tigers.
