19 April The first match of the Northern League is raced at Marine Gardens Edinburgh are defeated by Belle Vue 12-21. Bill Llewelly wins the Handicap event and Jack Chapman wins the Scottish Golden Helmet.
The first Southern League match of the season is raced Coventry defeat Leicester 34-19 at Brandon 21 April

5 July Edinburgh 12-25 White City Manchester in the Northern League. In the Edinburgh Handicap Bob Dawson wins and the Scottish Gold Torch is won by Frank Charles. Edinburgh withdrew from the league.
Southampton are South Coast championsthey defeat Portsmouth in their last match to claim the title.

In the final of the Star Riders Championship Vic Huxley is crowned champion after defeating Frank Arthur in the final at Wembley he wins £100 in prize money in front of 30,000 spectators.

18 September first leg of the British Championships Northern League champions Belle Vue face Southern League Champions Wembley in the first of a two legs. The London team win 27-20 at the Empire stadium.

27 September Final match of the Northern League 18-18 draw between Leicester and Belle Vue. The Manchester team are the League Champions.
Wembley are crowned British Champions after defeating Belle Vue in the second leg of the final. Belle Vue 43.5 - 56.5 Wembley 1 October
9 October Wembley win the London Cup defeating Stamford Bridge
Wimbledon defeat High Beech in the final match of the Southern League. Wembley are crowned champions. 13 October
