2016 World Under 21 Championship

1st Max Fricke 2nd Krystian Pieszczek 3rd Robert Lambert The 2016 championship was staged over three rounds, at King's Lynn, Pardubice and Gdańsk. The title was won by Max Fricke who became Australia's 5th Under-21 World Champion. Fricke's consistent run over the series in which he finished 3rd in the first two rounds and 2nd in the final round saw him score 46 points. Finishing in second place was Polish rider Krystian Pieszczek with 40 points while British rider Robert Lambert defeated Australia's Jack Holder in a run-off in the final round in Poland to claim 3rd place after both riders finished the series on 37 points 3 qualifying rounds were held in May with the top 4 riders in each event qualifying for the Final rounds. These riders were joined by 3 permanent wild cards picked by the FIM and a wild card picked by the host nation.
