Bio from Friends of Edinburgh Speedway
Outstandingly talented Swede who was runner-up in the World Under-21 Championship in 1995 to Jason Crump (and rated unlucky not to win). His UK parent club was Cradley though he first rode at Oxford in 1995, then Cradley at Stoke the next year. Established a reputation for occasional brilliance but regular inconsistency. After a year away, Glasgow signed him in 1998 but he was very disappointing, revealing later that a back problem had hampered him. Had a few matches for Belle Vue in 2000 which gave him a low average and enabled Edinburgh to bring him across in May 2001. At Armadale he was popular and, at times, spectacularly brilliant. Still inclined to have his poor days though, especially on wet tracks. Re-signed for 2002, he had more bad days than good and following an unlucky injury in June he decided not to return to the UK. |
