1st Greg Hancock 2nd Tai Woffinden 3rd Bartosz Zmarzlik The 2016 season there was 15 permanent riders, joined at each Grand Prix by one wild card and two track reserves. The top eight riders from the 2015 championship qualified automatically. Those riders were joined by three riders who qualified via the Grand Prix Challenge. Since the winner of the Grand Prix Challenge, Matej Žagar, had already qualified following his fifth position in the 2014 championship, fourth-placed Maciej Janowski qualified. The final four riders were nominated by series promoters, Benfield Sports International, following the completion of the 2014 season. The top 8 riders from the 2015 Grand Prix Championshipqualified as of right. Tai Woffinden, Greg Hancock, Nicki Pedersen, Niels Kristian Iversen, Jason Doyle, Matej Žagar, Maciej Janowski & Chris Holder They were joined by 3 riders who qualified via the 2015 Grand Prix Challenge Bartosz Zmarzlik, Piotr Pawlicki & Chris Harris Nominated by series promoters, Benfield Sports International Peter Kildemand, Andreas Jonsson, Jarosław Hampel & Antonio Lindbäck Jaroslaw Hampel was injured and was replaced by Fredrik Lindgren for the first 6 GP's He then withdrew from the series and Lindgren replaced him permantly. Nicki Pedersen was injured for the final 3 GP's and was replaced by Michael Jepsen Jensen. Jason Doyle missed the last GP due to Injury and was replaced by first track reserve Sam Masters.
