The Lokeren Disaster
On the 14th of July a group of riders were involved in a fatal road accident in Belgium. The Minibus they were traveling in was involved in a collision with two other vehicles. Riders Peter Bradshaw, Martyn Piddock, Gary Everett and Malcolm Carmichael along team manager Phil Bishop and driver Henrikus Rommoes all lost their lives
Colin Pratt, Stan Stevens, Garry Hay and mechanic Roy Sullivan were all injured with Pratt's injuries ending his career.
